PhD candidate Martin Scheuregger wins HRC Doctoral Fellowship

Department of Music PhD candidate Martin Scheuregger has won the HRC Doctoral Fellowship. Martin's is the second music student in a row to win the competition, held at the Humanities Research Centre.

PhD students from across the humantities departments gave 10-minutes presentations on their research and were quizzed by academics in a question and answer session. Director of the HRC, Judith Buchanan, said, "The panel thoroughly enjoyed reading about and listening to Martin's fascinating project and was delighted to award the winning HRC Doctoral Fellowship to him, in acknowledgement of his wonderful research work - both on paper and in person on the day. The panel members were all very impressed by Martin's engaging gift for communicating and thought that his chosen approach worked well both with his material and in relation to this particular general-interest audience."
