Posted on 2 November 2012

Alumnus Benjamin Till's latest work, The London Requiem, was premiered on 29 September 2012.

The London Requiem is based on inscriptions found on gravestones across London and the performance took place in the middle of a cemetery in London in front of a ruined church.

The CD of the work has just been released and features Matt Lucas, Barbara Windsor, Tanita Tikaram, Maddy Prior and playwright Sir Arnold Wesker singing the words written on his mother’s grave. Excerpts from the recording can be heard on at Benjamin Till's website and video of complete live performance can be seen at The Space.
