Profile

Biography

I graduated in Mathematics at the University of Pisa (Italy) in December 2016 under the supervision of Prof. Ilaria Del Corso. I have completed my PhD in  October 2020 at Royal Holloway (London) under the supervision of Prof. Martin Widmer. From October 2020, I am an LMS Early Career Fellow at the University of York.

Overview

Broadly speaking, I am interested in Number Theory. My Msc Thesis was in Algebraic Number Theory (field extensions with the quaternion group H_8 as Galois group). My PhD thesis, on the other hand, was mainly focused on Diophantine Approximation (estimates for sums of reciprocals of fractional parts and multiplicatively badly approximable matrices) and Geometry of Numbers (lattice-point counting for sets with "hyperbolic spikes"). I am currently working on problems in Diophantine Approximation. In particular, I am interested in problems on multiplicatively badly approximable points.
