I completed my undergraduate degree in physics at the University of Hamburg (Germany) in 2011, and my PhD in mathematics at the University of Genoa (Italy) in 2015. Following that I held post-doctoral positions at the University of Warsaw (Poland) and the University of Wuppertal (Germany). After an interim professorship in Wuppertal, I joined the Department of Mathematics in 2019.

My main research interest lies in mathematical physics, in particular mathematical aspects of quantum field theory and quantum field theory in curved spacetimes. In my work I combine methods from the theory of PDEs, differential operators on manifolds (and thus questions of geometric and global analysis), functional analysis, pseudo-Riemannian geometry, microlocal analysis, and other fields. Current directions of my research concern the semiclassical Einstein equation and propagators for quantum field theory in curved spacetimes.
