I did my MSci (2000) and PhD (2004) at the University of Birmingham. Following completion of my PhD I worked at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire (2005-2008).
After an 11-year career break I returned to research through a Daphne Jackson Research Fellowship sponsored by the University of York (2019-2022). I am currently a Research Associate working on spatial models of wastewater treatment.
I am currently working on the project Optimising Biofuel Production in Spatial Models of Wastewater Treatment with Prof Martin Bees and Dr Mitya Pushkin (Department of Mathematics) and Prof James Chong (Department of Biology).
