Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate working with Dr Chris Bowman on diagrammatic methods in representation theory.

From 2019-2022 I was an 1851 Research Fellow at City, University of London. Previously I was a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Leeds, working with Alison Parker and Paul Martin. I obtained my PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2018.

Overview

My research lies at the interface between modular representation theory and the diagrammatic Hecke category. At the heart of this is the deep shift from ordinary Kazhdan-Lusztig combinatorics to p-Kazhdan-Lusztig theory, which replaces classical constructions from geometric representation theory with more universal diagrammatic counterparts. I am particularly interested in using these methods to investigate the structure of tilting modules for reductive groups and classical diagram algebras.
