Profile

Lina is passionate about sustainability and preserving natural resources, especially water. She advocates the great potential of water conservation, as a demand side strategy, to mitigate the impact of climate change on water supply and achieve future water security. Her research is looking at households' water usage in the UK and Egypt to provide implications for social marketing interventions. 

She is interested in expanding the impact of her research beyond academia. She collaborated with UoY sustainability group and organised/led an event on campus to raise awareness about water issues during the One Planet Week 2022. 

As an assistant lecturer at Cairo University - Egypt, she has over 6 years of teaching experience. She is a certified "Green Impact Auditor" from SOS-UK and approved by IEMA.
