La Ode gained Bachelor Degree with honors in Accounting from Haluoleo University, Indonesia in 2005. Since then, he has been working as a lecturer in Kendari Business School, program evaluator in Ministry of Religious Affairs Kendari the Republic of Indonesia, and research associate in Community Empowerment Institute. While working, La Ode completed Master Science in Management with honors at Haluoleo University in 2008. In 2013, he was awarded a scholarship from Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education, Ministry of Finance, the Republic of Indonesia to pursue master degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Leicester, UK. Following the completion of his Masters degree with distinction in University of Leicester, again he was awarded a scholarship from the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education to pursue doctoral degree in Management at the University of York, starting in January 2015.
