Professor Jacco Thijssen is one of the co-organisers of an interdisciplinary workshop at the University of Bielefeld in July.

Hosted by the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF) the workhop is titled: Equilibria in Markets, Strategic Interactions and Complex Systems.

The notion of equilibrium occurs in slightly different, yet related forms in Biology, Economics, Physics, and Business Administration.  The workshop aims to bring together economic theorists, management scientists, mathematicians, and statistical physicists to discuss the different approaches to "equilibrium" arising in financial markets, games and complex systems.
