The Future of Food Day, York Festival of Ideas, Saturday 14 June
Professor Bob Doherty of York Management School brings his expertise on fair trade and social enterprises to the York Festival of Ideas.
Professor Bob Doherty from The York Management School is contributing to the 'Supermarkets, Supply Chains and Food Security' event as part of 'The Future of Food Day' in the York Festival of Ideas . Professor Doherty will be part of the discussion panel as a specialist in research on the marketing aspects of fair trade and social enterprises. The keynote address will be made by Mike Coupe, Group Commercial Director, Sainsbury Plc and the discussion panel will also include Philip Lymbery, Author of Farmageddon and Professor Tim Benton, Global Food Security Champion.

Join us for a day focused on the global challenge of how to feed 10 billion people, an exploration of new technologies enabling better crop production, the implications of GM, the development of new food technologies such as stem cell beef and food security and farming's relationship with supermarkets.
