Sarah joined Santander in July 2015 to head up the Corporate Advisory team and has responsibility for advice to senior management on a broad range of areas including corporate transactions, corporate governance, whistleblowing and special projects (recent examples include: designing, implementing and managing the Bank’s approach in the run up to the Referendum, and managing the Bank’s implementation of the Market Abuse Regulation). Sarah also acts as an alternate for the BAA as a member of the Takeover Panel.
Prior to joining Santander, Sarah worked at RSA Insurance Group in a number of roles heading up legal teams responsible for advising the UK Commercial and Affinity businesses, with a short spell as a member of the Executive team acting as General Counsel for the Emerging Markets Division. Sarah was also a director of a number of subsidiary companies and was an approved person. Sarah has also worked for Rexam plc and US law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges.
Sarah has an LLB, a Masters in International Business Legal Studies and is a Graduate of the Institute of Company Secretaries and Administrators.
