Saturday 6 February 2021, 10.00AM to 1PM
Speaker(s): Sue Mendus
In this session, we will look at the ways in which Dylan Thomas’s world - the world of rural and industrial South Wales in the 1930s and ‘40s - influenced his writings. Beginning in his hometown (the ‘ugly, lovely town’ of Swansea) and ending in the west Wales village of Laugharne, which inspired his most famous work, Under Milkwood, we will see how his poems reflect the world, and the times, in which he lived. And in which he drank!
