History of Art: Developing a Worldwide View

Saturday 16 May 2020, 10.00AM to 4.30pm

Case studies from different geographical and cultural zones will expand euro-centric ideas of what art is and does. We will explore African, Islamic and Japanese art forms and make comparisons between objects from these and other cultures. Finally we will look at the shifting approaches to these objects over the last 100 years.
