Fascism(s): Past and Present

Monday 20 January 2020, 7.00PM to 9.00pm

Despite the best efforts of its opponents, fascism has never truly disappeared. Echoes of inter-war fascist politics have become disturbingly prominent in the early twenty-first century, once again prompting fears about the future of global democracy. This course will provide an introduction to historical and contemporary variations of fascism. It will analyse the history of fascist movements, detail fascist ideology and, crucially, equip students to recognise the dangers that fascism still poses us today.
