Introduction to International Development (Cancelled)

Tuesday 23 January 2018, 7.00PM to 9.00pm

In the face of growing global inequality, this course will explore the politics and ethics of international development, with a particular focus on where participants have or could have influence. We will look at campaigning by social movements and NGOs on themes ranging from the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership to tax, and from climate change to conflict. How might ideas like human rights, feminism and post-colonialism change the way we think about these issues?
