In an increasingly volatile and unstable world, poetry reminds us of the good, intelligence, creativity, wit and insight we are capable of and may put things in perspective - a comforting antidote to despair and uncertainty. Through beautiful and intricate language, challenging and uplifting ideas, deeply expressed humanity, hope and humour, poetry reveals our best selves at a time when we may need reminding of the pleasure of the human condition. Through in-depth consideration of six great poems, we will be refreshed and ready to face the world in good heart.
