There is a microfilm and microfiche printer in the Raymond Burton Library Humanities Research Reading Room. There is also a printer available in the Borthwick Institute.
The printer is set up to copy microfilms. The zoom lens allows you to enlarge or reduce the areas you want to copy.
To copy from microfiche the lens needs to be changed. Please ask at the Help Desk for an attendant to do this for you.
For microfilm and microfiche you'll need a photocopy prepayment card to pay for your copies.
Please note, payment is separate from the York Print Plus system.
You can buy your card and add credit to it at the machines in the Raymond Burton Library Reading Room.
The machine accepts the following:

The Library has launched a digitisation service for books that are too large to be scanned using the York Print Plus machines.
Students and staff can now submit a request for electronic copies from any book larger than A3. These scanned sections will then be delivered to you as pdf files unless otherwise specified.
To submit a request, please take your selected book to the Help Desk and complete a request form.
Files will be sent by email or via the University DropOff Service (for large files) within three working days (Mon-Fri).
