The UK Government has recently announced a new set of Coronavirus restrictions in response to the spread of the new variant. The Library will remain open but we’ll be bringing in a few changes in order to comply with the latest guidance

We are pleased to announce the launch of the SafePod Network, which means York’s SafePod is now open for bookings.

From August 2nd the Library will switch to opening from 8am until 10pm, seven days a week. This will likely last until some way in to September; we’ll be back to 8am until midnight before the start of term.

As we have now entered the summer vacation, the pressure on availability for our study spaces has now reduced considerably. As a result, we're delighted to say we can now open to members of the public and other external users over this period.

If you’re graduating this summer you’ll need to return your University of York Library books before you finish. Whether you’re able to get to campus or you’re studying remotely, you can do this entirely for free.
