Video call rooms are now available to book

Posted on 23 October 2020

More study spaces are now available around the University and we’ve provided some rooms in the Library which are suitable for video calls and other interactive online learning.

We’ve heard from many of our users in recent weeks that you'd like us to provide more spaces suitable for interactive online learning, including Zoom and other video calls. In the Library we’ve been thinking about which areas of our buildings would work best for this. We’ve now added a new category in our study bookings calendar for ‘video call room’ - use that category to see all of the rooms in the Library which are suitable for that purpose. You are able to book study spaces up to seven days in advance.

We’ve also been working with other parts of the University to open additional study spaces around campus. It’s now possible to book study space in Heslington Hall on Campus West and in the Centre for Medieval Studies at King’s Manor in the city centre.
