More Library services reopen in September

Posted on 14 September 2020

We’re making more progress in introducing new services and reintroducing old ones, and the next round of changes happens from Monday 14 September.

The Library Help Desk returns at both the Morrell and King’s Manor Libraries, so you’ll be able to get advice and guidance on site. We’ll continue to offer our virtual help desk online through email, chat and the phone. This will now be available on Saturdays and Sundays too, 9am to 5pm, rather than only during the week.

The Borthwick Institute for Archives will reopen from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, by appointment. You can read more information on the Borthwick reopening

There will also be study space available at King’s Manor Library. You’ll be able to book it via bit.ly/kmlstudyspaces. And finally, our Book Takeaway service will now expand to include the York Minster Library (YML) Modern Loans Collection - just search for YML items in YorSearch in the normal way, and look out for the Book Takeaway link.

The next changes will happen on Monday 28 September, and will include Laptop Loans and, all being well, extended opening hours.

If you have any questions about any of this do get in touch
