Open Access Week 2019

Posted on 17 October 2019

Celebrate advances in open research across the globe during Open Access Week, 21 to 27 October.

Open Access Week runs between 21 and 27 October 2019.

Open Access is about making research outputs freely available online with reduced restrictions on use and re-use. Open access to research data is an important part of good Research Data Management (RDM).

Find out more about our own Open Access publisher, White Rose University Press (WRUP).

Throughout Open Access Week, we're running workshops to help research staff and students with open access:

We're also running drop in sessions with WRUP, answering any questions about open access publishing, repositories and research data management:

  • Tuesday 22 October, 1pm-3pm, Yorkshire Room (LBU/002), Burton building
  • Thursday 24 October, 2pm-4pm, Seminar Room (LFA/204-205), Fairhurst building

Hear first hand experiences of how exploring open research approaches have helped to facilitate the impacts of projects at York:

  • How can Open Research foster Impact?, Thursday 7 November, 10am-11.30 am, the Lakehouse (RCH/248x), Ron Cooke Hub. Book tickets.
