Fairhurst kitchen is now a permanent fixture!

Posted on 9 August 2018

Following a successful trial period, the kitchen for student use in the Library’s Fairhurst building has now been made permanent.

We created the Fairhurst kitchen in response to student feedback; many of you wanted facilities to prepare hot drinks and snacks to sustain you through your studies.

Equipped with a microwave, hot water boiler and a cold filtered drinking water dispenser, the Fairhurst Kitchen is located in LFA 124 to provide a space to prepare hot food without having to leave the Library. Please note that hot food is only allowed in the Fairhurst building and you need to provide your own plates and cutlery.

Everyone who uses the space should keep it clean and tidy - basic cleaning equipment is provided. Please don't leave belongings or food items in the kitchen, and make sure you dispose of any rubbish responsibly.
