New student kitchen available in the Library

Posted on 5 January 2018

Due to popular demand, a kitchen is now available to students on a trial basis.

A new kitchen for students is now open on the first floor of the Fairhurst building.

From Monday 8 January, a kitchen for students is available in the Library on the first floor of the Fairhurst building.

We’ve listened to feedback and we’re providing this new service as a response to significant student demand for this type of facility.

Equipped with a microwave, hot water boiler and a cold filtered drinking water dispenser, the Fairhurst Kitchen is located in LFA 124 to provide a space to prepare hot food without having to leave the Library. Please note that hot food will only be allowed in the Fairhurst building and you’ll need to provide your own plates and cutlery.

Users are asked to keep the space clean and tidy - basic cleaning equipment is provided. No belongings or food items should be left in the space and all waste should be disposed of responsibly.

The use of the facility is on a trial basis and provision of the kitchen will be reviewed at the end of the Summer Term.

Please leave your feedback via a comments box in the kitchen or email
