Celebrate World Book Day with a new read!

Posted on 23 February 2017

This World Book Day (Thursday 2 March) we're giving you the chance to indulge your inner bibliophile, and to support readers elsewhere.

Update!

We raised £418.50 in donations and fines paid on the day, which will be donated to Book Aid International. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

World Book Day book swap

We're running our annual book swap 11am - 2pm on Thursday 2 March in the Morrell Library foyer.

If you have books to donate, you can bring them on the day or drop them off in advance at the Library & IT Help Desk.

Anyone can take a book on the day - even if you don't have one to swap.

Donating to Book Aid International

We're donating all fines paid on World Book Day (Thursday 2 March) to Book Aid International, who work with libraries in Africa to provide books, resources and training. There'll also be a collection box at the book swap for anyone who wishes to donate. Last year, we were able to give over £170 to help Book Aid in their work.
