Journey through the University of York's Special Collections this World Book Day

Sarah Griffin, the University of York's Special Collections Librarian, presents a journey through 600 years of printing history as reflected in material held in Special Collections at the University and at the Minster Library.

Highlights will include books printed within 20 years of the Gutenberg Bible, salacious woodcuts accompanying a most inappropriate text, books owned by royalty, and much much more.

Time: Thursday 6 March 2014. Drinks and canapés will be available from 6pm and the talk will begin at 6.30pm.
