With legal aid funding and the assistance of Public Law Project(PLP), YLS student has recently successfully challenged Leeds City Council

One of our LLB students, Rachel Adam-Smith, has a daughter with significant learning needs. With legal aid funding and the assistance of Public Law Project (PLP) she has recently successfully challenged Leeds City Council's decision to cut her daughters education provision to 3 days, as explained here.

Rachel will be contributing to a public law plenary in Autumn 2018 to explain her experience as a judicial review applicant to the student cohort.

Following on from the judicial review, Rachel was asked to write a blog explaining her experience of the process for Steve Braoch (Barrister), which he published on his site: https://rightsinreality.wordpress.com/2018/08/15/the-duty-to-provide-a-full-five-day-post-16-education-programme/

Please share this blog to help other families challenge unlawful cuts to education.
