Law 5th in the UK in GUG rankings 2019

York Law School holds its place in the top 10 UK Guardian University rankings.

This week the York Law School confirmed its place among the UK’s most highly regarded departments for the subject of Law. The department is ranked 5th in the UK in the Guardian University guide 2019.

Published annually, the Guardian’s University Guide ranks 121 UK universities by undergraduate degree subjects according to satisfaction with course, teaching and feedback; student to staff ratio spend per student; entry tariff; career after six months of leaving the course; degree results compared to entry qualifications; and continuation of first year students.

The rankings are based on official data collected by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and the National Student Survey, published by HEFCE.

The subjects of Chemistry (3), Biology (6), Politics (7) and Social Policy (10) at York also rank in the UK top 10.
