The Solicitor’s Profession: Opportunities & Challenges

YLS's Employability Teaching Fellow Chris Wilkinson  is currently Chair of the AGCAS (Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services) Legal Profession Task Group. He along with that group  have set up an event entitled "The Solicitor’s Profession: Opportunities & challenges for your students" for University Careers Advisers on 15/5/14 at the University of Oxford Careers Service.

The event will include a Panel Discussion covering the following topics: 

Working as a private client lawyer, James McGlaughlin, Solicitor, International Private Client Team, Farrer & Co.

Working in an alternative business structure, Jonathan Kay, Head of Resourcing, Parabis Group (Plexus Law)

Life as an international corporate/commercial lawyer, Caroline Lindner, Trainee Development & Recruitment Manager, Norton Rose Fulbright

Working as agovernment lawyer, Ben Dean, Legal Adviser, the Department of Energy & Climate Change Legal Team

Working as an in-house lawyer, Raj Roy, Solicitor, Competition Law, Vodafone Group
