Talk in French: "Parcours de vie : travailler pour une ONG à Mayotte"

On Wednesday 3 November 2021, 6.30pm to 7.30pm (UK time), Solène Dia (MA in Politics - Conflict, Governance & Development, University of York) will be presenting on ‘Parcours de vie: travailler pour une ONG à Mayotte‘. In the talk. Solène will share her recent experience, and challenges, as a Project Coordinator for La Cimade (a non-profit organisation dedicated to ensuring the human rights of migrants and refugees) in Mayotte, a French island in the Indian Ocean.

The talk will be in French and it is open to everyone with an interest in human rights & in volunteering/working for non-governmental organisations.

Parcours de vie : travailler pour une ONG à Mayotte

Mercredi 3 novembre, 18h30 (heure anglaise), Solène Dia, diplômée, diplômée d'un Master en politiques (mention Conflit, Gouvernance et Développement) de l'Université de York et tutrice de français, en 2014-2015, dans le cadre du programme Languages For All, présentera son parcours universitaire et professionnel. Elle partagera notamment son expérience, en tant que Chargée de Projet, pendant 4 ans, au sein de l'ONG La Cimade, à Mayotte, dans l'archipel des Comores. Ce sera l'occasion pour elle de revenir sur les aspects positifs mais également sur les défis et les obstacles auxquels elle a été confrontée. Dignité et droits des personnes réfugiées et migrantes constitueront des thèmes clés.
