The module lasts the whole year, with teaching continuing until Week 4 of the summer term.  It is taught for 2 hours per week and regular self-study either in the eLab or the library and at home will be required.

Teaching programme

The grammar seminar will cover most grammatical aspects of the German language and you will see and use them in context. By revising grammatical structures you will become more aware of their meaning and use in oral and written communication. The self-study hour will be devoted to using and reviewing the grammatical structures discussed in the seminar. You will use interactive exercises or practice materials provided by the tutor and you will work through the grammar book and use online materials (see teaching materials).

German is used as the medium of instruction and learning in all classes wherever possible.
