MA in Psycholinguistics 2015-16

Students will take four 10-credit modules:

• Psycholinguistics (L31M)
• Language acquisition (L18M)
• Syntax (L25M)
• Phonetics and phonology (L29M)

• Quantitative methods (L33M)

Students will normally take two 20 credit modules from among:

• The acquisition of syntax by children (L50M)
• Second language phonology (L74M)
• Second language syntax (L35M)
• Psycholinguistic approaches to second language acquisition (L72M)

But one of these may be replaced by either

• Language and the brain (L60M)
  or
• Bilingualism (L03M)

The following combinations are also possible:

• Syntactic Theory (L26M)
  with
• The acquisition of syntax by children (L50M)
  or
  Second language syntax (L35M)
  
  
  

• Phonological variation and change (L44M)
  or
• Articulatory impressionistic phonetics (L02M)
  with
• Second language phonology (L74M)

• Dissertation
  (60 credits)

• Key ideas in linguistics (L73M)
  20 credits

• Research training seminar (L34M) 20 credits
