Duo two-factor authentication on the MyUoY app

We will be introducing two-factor authentication to the MyUoY student app from Tuesday 6 June 2023.

This will be via the Duo app which is used for other University systems. If you have automatic updates on this will happen without you needing to do anything.

The update will be available both in the Google Play store and the App store sometime on 6 June. We advise updating the app before the summer break.

Once you have updated the app, you'll be asked to log in again and will be prompted to authenticate via the Duo app (as you do with other University systems). When you have completed this process, you should not have to do this again for a year. If you experience any problems logging on, please contact IT Support (itsupport@york.ac.uk).
