Friday 17 June 2016, 9.30AM to 18th June 5:30pm

Speaker(s): Keynote Speakers; Roger Hardy, Professor Toby Dodge

The University of York in assocation with York St John University are hosting an international and interdisciplinary conference examining the effects of World War One and the post-war settlement in the Middle East.  The effects are still felt in the region today; state borders, migrations, secular and religious movements and struggles over power.

The conference provides an opportunity to re-examine the history of this period from different perspectives and consider the extent of its consequences for the present and the implications for the future.

Further details of the conference can be found here on the York St John webpages.
