Dr. Thierry Tonon joined the Department of Biology at the University of York as a Lecturer in Algal Biology in September 2018. He is currently based in the Centre for Novel Agricultural Products (CNAP), and is interested in different aspects of algal research:

  • Characterization of metabolic pathways and enzymes important for algal physiology and biogeochemical cycles.
  • Origin and evolution of algal metabolic pathways.
  • Potential biotechnological applications of algae.
