Ambrose Field

Ambrose Field's research interests are in how societal challenges can be addressed using creativity as a research tool. Field is a multi-award winning music composer, published by ECM and distributed by Universal. People, places and spaces are core to his approach. He has been a UNESCO funded composer at Hungarian National Radio, and has collaborated with multi-disciplinary groups from Education to Healthcare (including recently working on a project for Centre for Chronic Diseases at York). Field has postgraduate qualifications in both Arts and Social Sciences, and also has a training in high-performance computing. He is Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of York, and Honorary Professor at Beijing Institute for Advanced Innovation.
