Amanda Mason-Jones
Senior Lecturer in Global Public Health, Department of Health Sciences
Amanda Mason-Jones is a public health specialist and injury epidemiologist. Her research focuses on child and adolescent health, specifically sexual and reproductive health and injury and violence prevention. She's a mixed methods researcher with expertise that includes evidence synthesis, cluster randomised trials of complex interventions and qualitative methods. Her PhD focussed on childhood injury prevention, her MPH focussed on migrant and refugee's access to services. She has an MSc in Health Services Research and an MA in creative writing. She has previously held public health specialist, practitioner, academic and policy posts both in the UK, and in the Republic of South Africa.
