Event details

This workshop aims to bring together scholars and practitioners who want to explore changing ideas and practices of Britain’s engagement with Africa in the context of Brexit and broader global power shifts. In particular, its aim is to investigate the place of Africa in understandings of Britain’s role in the world and to consider how these are reflected in practices of and responses to contemporary British engagement with Africa.

We invite paper proposals from a variety of academic and practitioner perspectives on the themes of:

  • Britain, Africa and the European Union
  • Africa in Britain’s Post-Brexit Foreign Policy
  • African responses to Brexit
  • Britain, Africa and Changing Global Order
