Monday 1 February 2021, 9.30AM to 12.30 pm
Words on Paper is an academic writing group that first launched in January 2020 for PGR students and early career researchers within the Humanities at York! It is organised by students and runs via the Humanities Research Centre.
What is an academic writing group?
Words on Paper is an opportunity to put aside time for writing each week in a shared and supportive environment, which is dedicated to specific personal goals. This term, we will run a 10-week programme, and we encourage participants to use this time to make progress on a specific writing project.
How do the sessions work?
We begin with a brief 15-minute chat about how things are going and set our writing goals. We write for 75 minutes. After this, we have a 15-minute coffee break before writing for another 75 minutes. At the end we have a brief chat to celebrate our work and achievements!
Monday 9.30am-12.30pm. Sessions will run from January 11 to March 15.
The sessions will be held over Zoom - the link will be sent out before the first session.
