Graduate training

Arts and humanities postgraduates at York have access to a range of professionalising training opportunities. The HRC offers an annual programme of training sessions for Masters and PhD students in all the arts and humanities departments, covering subjects of general interest to developing academics, including:

  • giving a conference paper
  • getting published
  • applying for project funding
  • designing and managing questionnaires for research.

Subject-specific training for masters students is offered by their academic departments.

Further training for doctoral researchers is available through the Graduate Research School and the White Rose College of the Arts and Humanities (WRoCAH). See the WRoCAH calendar of events for details of forthcoming sessions.

View our postgraduate training programme for more details.
