For the Festival Fringe family fun afternoon at the York Festival of Ideas on Saturday 10th June 2017, we are seeking exciting and lightly educative activities that young people from the local community can take part in and enjoy.
Teams of postgraduates (both on taught courses and on research degrees) from across the University are invited to think up fun and creative activities based loosely on their areas of research. The activities should be aimed at children in the 5-11 age range. The Humanities Research Centre will sponsor and mentor teams to ensure that the activity works well as part of this year's Festival Fringe Family Fun afternoon.
This is an energetic and exciting day of community engagement in the University year. For a flavour of previous events, see http://www.york.ac.uk/hrc/public/family-fun/. If you would like to propose an activity, please complete the form below and email it to the HRC Administrator, Helen Jacobs at email@example.com and the HRC Acting Director Kate Giles firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Friday 3rd March 2017.
