The 2015-16 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings confirm our place as a world leader for arts and humanities subjects.

The rankings assess world-class universities across teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

Following the release of the rankings Professor Mark Ormrod, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, said: "The THE ranking is fitting recognition of York’s outstanding achievement in producing world-leading Arts and Humanities research. Alongside our thriving departments we have a rich range of interdisciplinary centres, all of which benefit from the shared facilities and support available in our Humanities Research Centre. The THE ranking is testimony to the brilliance, enthusiasm and dedication of York’s researchers across these centres of activity.”
