A team of British historians from the Department of History visited China recently to explore ways in which the Department could assist in furthering the study of British history.

Six colleagues, led by the Head of Department, Professor Stuart Carroll, visited the Universities of Nanjing, which is China's main centre for the study of British history, and Renmin, which is located in Beijing. The team discussed ways in which the Department could assist in curriculum development, the training of doctoral students and making resources on British history more readily available to Chinese students.
