Three MA students receive awards for their outstanding contribution to the Humanities Research Centre

As we say goodbye and send our good wishes to all our departing MA students, it's a good moment to reflect on all the energy and commitment which they have brought to the interdisciplinary community which is the Humanities Research Centre. Awards have been made to three MA students for their outstanding contributions to this community over the last academic year. The students are:

  • Catherine Oakley (who ran a series of seminars on Mad Men, the American TV series
  • Sebastian Owen (for setting up a new discussion group on Cultural Memory Studies) and
  • Claire Wilkinson (who has led the editorial team for the HRC blog, The Treehouse).

Congratulations to all three of them, and very many thanks to everyone who has participated in HRC events, written for the blog, taken part in Sensory Stories, helped with the Festival of Ideas events, provided support for academic conferences, and in other ways brought energy and ideas into the Berrick Saul Building.
