The HRC is a perfect place to do personal individual study.  At the same time, I feel that there is a brilliant community.

Academic Visitors

The HRC offers a lively and dynamic interdisciplinary research environment for both short and long-term research visitors from all over the world. Dedicated working space is available for visitors on the first floor which is wireless enabled and where there is easy access to photocopying, printing and scanning facilities.

The HRC is the hub for arts and humanities research on campus and holds a very large number of seminars, workshops and conferences, in which visitors are warmly invited to participate.

If you wish to come to York as an academic visitor, you should first contact the academic department or inter-departmental centre with which you would like to be associated.  If your application is accepted, you will then be offered desk space in the department or in the Berrick Saul Building, according to your preference and availability of space.
