York historian discusses pre-Islamic poet on radio

Dr Harry Munt on BBC radio 4 discussing the life, works, context and legacy of Antarah ibn Shaddad.

On Thursday 28 February, Dr Harry Munt was a guest on BBC Radio 4's In Our Time discussing Antarah ibn Shaddad (525-608AD, a pre-Islamic Arabian warrior and poet. Along with other guests, Dr Munt discussed the life, works, context and legacy of Antarah, who was born in slavery but won his freedom in battle.
