Posted on 11 January 2016

The Wolfson Foundation has announced that it will be renewing its PhD Scholarship programme for 2016/17.

The Wolfson Foundation, which has funded PhD scholarships in the Humanities at the University of York since 2012, has announced that it will be renewing its programme for 2016/17.

There will be four Wolfson Scholars based at the University of York from 2016-17 (one funded by the University of York) in the subject areas of History, Literature and Languages.  UK, EU and Overseas students are all eligible.

The Department of History has a strong track record of securing these scholarships and welcomes applications.  Please get in contact immediately with David Clayton, the Chair of the Graduate School Board, at david.clayton@york.ac.uk if you are interested in applying.  Deadlines will be tight as this scheme has just been announced and the University has to nominate candidates in February 2016.  Details about the application procedure can be found on the International students' fees and funding webpage.
