England's Medieval Immigrants: Migration History Resources for Schools
Posted on 28 January 2016
Professor Mark Ormrod has been awarded £68,912 by the Arts & Humanities Research Council, under the Follow-on Funding scheme, for a project titled 'England's Medieval Immigrants: Migration History Resources for Schools'.
The project addresses an urgent need arising from the new GCSE curriculum operating from September 2016, in which migration is a major theme. In collaboration with The National Archives, the project will build online resources to support the study of pre-modern migration to England, drawing especially on the major output from the University of York project, 'England's Immigrants, 1330-1550', found at www.englandsimmigrants.com
