Congratulations to Jenny Hillman, Rob Dale and Katherine Wilson, who are moving on from York into new academic positions

Many congratulations to our scholars and staff who are moving on to prestigious academic positions at the end of this academic year:

  • Teaching fellow Rob Dale, who works on the history of twentieth-century Russia and has been teaching widely across the modern era for us since his arrival at York, will be moving to Kings College, London. He will be beginning a three-year British Academy fellowship, working with Professor Stephen Lovell on a project entitled, 'From Fractured Society to Stability: Overcoming the Aftermath of War in Soviet Russia, 1945-1955"
  • Katherine Wilson, who has been with us for two years as a Lecturer in Medieval History, teaching the history of the low countries in the later middle ages, has been offered a permanent contract at the University of Chester
  • Former doctoral student, Jenny Hillman, will be taking up a Max Weber Fellowship at the European University Institute in Florence for 2012-2013

Many congratulations to them all!
