Just published - a new book co-edited by York lecturer Henrice Altink

Altink_Gendering Border Studies

In Gendering Border Studies, an essay collection newly published by the University of Wales Press, York history lecturer Henrice Altink with her co-editors Jane Aaron and Chris Weedon show how an awareness of gender transforms our understanding of borders. Henrice and her fellow editors invited fifteen established scholars from various disciplines to contribute essays to the book. Focusing on migration, border crossing narratives, drawing internal boundaries or teaching the contributors outline the ways in which gender has informed work in these areas before predicting future developments.
