'Europe' research session

Tuesday 17 January 2017, 5.30PM

Lightining Rods interdisciplinary event

Dr Hugo Service will contribute to the latest Humanities Research Centre Lightining Rods session, along with Dr Nicole Lindstrom (Politics), Dr Simon Sweeney (Management), and Professor Elizabeth Tyler (English and Medieval Studies).

‘Europe’ is a pressing concern for Britain, for the EU, for the larger European region and globally. This session aims to stimulate and connect interdisciplinary research on Europe’s past, present and future, none of which can be understood in isolation. Colleagues working in diverse departments have a stake in ‘Europe’ and the university is well-placed to pursue innovative cross-faculty research in this field.

The contributions will be followed by open discussion. Everyone is welcome to come along and share ideas about how we can pursue research about ‘Europe’ at York.

Location: The Treehouse, The Berrick Saul Building, University of York
